EDITOR, Daily News:

I have to go south in September for a doctor's appointment and plan to take the ferry. Getting the required COVID test here in Ketchikan shouldn't be a problem.

However, finding a test within 72 hours with a written receipt in Seattle would prove to be problematic.

The AMHS should provide a list of testing sites in Bellingham/Seattle.

Better yet, passengers could wear masks northbound and get tested dockside in Ketchikan. The crew also could be tested.

This has proven to work at the airport and is convenient, too.

Furthermore, a surcharge could be added to the ferry ticket to pay for the testing.
