William ‘Bill’ Palmer

William “Bill” Palmer, 97, died Dec. 26, 2021, in Boulder City, Nevada.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1924, Kansas City, Missouri.

He was an Eagle Scout and WWII veteran who earned the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for action in Europe.

Mr. Palmer moved to Ketchikan in the 1950s. He worked for Wingren's and the Hames Corporation.

He enjoyed geology and fishing, and was a member of the VFW.

Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife, Eva; daughters, Lee Anne Short and Nancy White; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Palmer’s remains will be interred in the veterans cemetery in Boulder City.
