Obituary Roger Suckinaw

Roger Glen Suckinaw, 39, died April 19, 2023, in Seattle.

He was born on Aug. 5, 1983, in Ketchikan. He attended Whitecliff Elementary School, Schoenbar Middle School and Revilla High School.

Mr. Suckinaw resided in Ketchikan, Juneau and Seattle.

He was a Native artist, and enjoyed tattooing, playing guitar, drawing, and hanging out with friends and family.

He was a member of The Salvation Army.

Mr. Suckinaw was preceded in death by his father, Roger Goodall; grandfather and grandmother, Patrick and Ruth Suckinaw; uncle and aunt, Dusty and Kim Suckinaw; aunt, Corina Goodall; cousin, Anthony Guthrie; nephew, David Blair Jr.; grandmother, Ernestine Blair; and uncle, David Blair.

He is survived by his mother, Honey Lou Suckinaw; father, Ray Blair Jr.; grandparents, William Joseph Sr. and Cora Joseph; siblings, Raymond Blair III, David Blair, Thomas Blair, Jacqueline Blair, Nicholas Goodall and Ricky Goodall; uncles, Cush (Kirsten) Suckinaw, Mike Suckinaw, William Joseph Jr. and Tom Denny; aunts, Candy, Wanda, April, Andrea and Robin Goodall, and Sabrina Joseph; fiancée, Jacoba Guthrie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A night watch will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Saxman Red Hall downstairs. A service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Saxman Red Hall, officiated by Paul and Vicky Slenkamp of Soul Harvest Ministries.

Mr. Suckinaw’s remains will be cremated.
