Robert Harold Linne

Robert Harold Linne, 86, died Sept. 6, 2021, at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.

He was born on May 28, 1935, in Seattle, and resided in Ketchikan from 1964 to 2021.

He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 302, working in construction. He also enjoyed other finish carpentry projects in his off time.

“He was a very generous, kind, caring man who enjoyed talking with his nieces and nephews,” his family writes.

Mr. Linne also enjoyed travel, sports, bowling, horseback riding, crossword puzzles, photography and going to the beach. He was a musician, as well, playing the trombone, bass and bongo drums.

Mr. Linne was preceded in death by his parents, Signe Marie Amcoff and Harold Wilhelm Linne of Sweden; brothers, Roy “Buddy” Linne of Seattle, who died in the Korean War, and Bert A. Cederstrom Linne of Ketchikan; and nieces; Tami Linne, formerly of Ketchikan, and Kathy Mielke.

He is survived by his nieces, Lynda Sanders, Terrie Linne Wells, Susan Linne Hoyt and Nikki Linne Mohinani; and nephews, John Mielke and Kris Linne.

Mr. Linne’s remains will be interred in Ketchikan with his brother.
