Krystal Danielle Whitesides, 23, died June 5, 2021, in Ketchikan.
She was born on June 9, 1997, in Ketchikan. She attended Schoenbar Middle School and Ketchikan High School.
She was a stay-at-home mom, and was employed as a housekeeper at Cape Fox Lodge.
She enjoyed being a mom to her son, Kyler. She also enjoyed writing, coloring, crafts, spending time with her family and friends, driving and listening to music, going for walks and taking photos.
“She had an infectious smile and contagious laugh,” her family said. “She was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul.”
Krystal Whitesides was preceded in death by her sister, Janiece Whitesides; and grandparents, Dale and Thelma Whitesides.
She is survived by her son, Kyler Dupree; boyfriend, Jacob Dupree; mother, Rachel McNeeley; father, Frank Whitesides; sister, Holly McNeeley; brothers, Jeep and Jake Whitesides; niece, Jemma Whitesides; and many other family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Ward Lake.
