Julie Ohashi, 79, died April 18, 2020, in Henderson, Nevada.
She was born Dec. 14, 1940 in Wyandotte, Michagan to Stephen Tablak and Julia Kosiba Tablak. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1958.
She married her husband, Paul, on March 10, 1966, in Ketchikan at the family store, Ohashi’s. They resided in Ketchikan until 1997, at which time they moved to Henderson, Nevada. They were married 40 years before Paul’s passing in 2006.
She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing golf, bowling, and taking walks with her cat, Paulie.
Mrs. Ohashi was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; and by her parents, Stephen Tablak and Julia Kosiba Tablak.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lauri and Tim Zadina of Bellevue, Washington; son and daughter-in-law, George and Kim Ohashi of Richmond, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Trish Schurko of Stow, Ohio; son, Stephen Schurko of Hermitage, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Kyle and Erin Zadina, Garret and Cameron Ohashi, Megan Bannister, and Brianna and Mariah Schurko; and sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Allen Sowers.
A private memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 15, at Palm Green Valley Mortuary, 7600 Eastern Ave., Las Vegas.
