Ernestine Mae Blair, 86, died Dec. 23, 2020, in Saxman.
She was born Ernestine Mae Denny on Aug. 5, 1934, in Ketchikan.
She resided in Saxman for 86 years.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, beading, Native dancing, bingo, Las Vegas, Sealaska and Cape Fox.
“She enjoyed spending time with her family at events and picnics,” her family writes.
Ernestine Blair was preceded in death by her father, Reynold Denny Sr.; mother, Mary E. Denny; sister, Ann S. Williams; brother, Reynold Denny Jr.; son, David Randall Blair; and great-grandson, David Reynold Blair Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Ernestine R. Ellis of Ketchikan; daughter, Marilyn (Vance) Catron of Ketchikan; son, Raymond H. Blair Jr. of Ketchikan; son, Denny S. Blair Sr. of Ketchikan; son, Clifford (Trudi) Blair of Saxman; daughter, Luann R. Blair of Saxman; nieces, Linda M. Williams of Ketchikan and Pamela Sheakley of Craig; nephew, Rey Denny of Anchorage; 26 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Because of the pandemic, there will be a family service on Facebook, officiated by the Rev. Bill White. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
Ernestine Blair’s remains will be intered at Bayview Cemetery.
