Doris M. Barrett, 82, died on Sept. 15, 2019, at home in Ketchikan.
She was born Doris Marie Harbour on July 28, 1937, in Dourmont, Arkansas.
She attended school through the sixth grade.
She was married on Dec. 17, 1977, in Las Vegas.
She worked as a truck driver for seven years, managed a mini-storage facility for seven years and was a supervisor in an Arizona drapery factory.
She was a resident of the Ketchikan area for 15 years.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Baptist Church. Her family writes that “Christ was the center of her life.”
She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, gardening, camping and fishing for catfish.
Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her father, Frank Harbour; mother, Vera Harbour; sisters, Christine Burns and Louise Kelley; and daughter, Debbie Trent.
She is survived by her husband, Arland R. Barrett; sisters, Irene Williams and Onie Cessor; brothers, Tom Harbour and Frank H. Harbour; and children, Charles F. Woolsey and Frank W. Woolsey.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, at the Assembly of God.
