Donald L. ‘Sparky’ Sparks

Donald L. “Sparky” Sparks, 58, died Nov. 4, 2020, of cancer at his home in Ketchikan.

He was born on May 19, 1962 in Tacoma, Washington. He attended UTI Automotive School in Arizona.

Mr. Sparks was married on Jan. 11, 2015, in Ketchikan.

He resided in Ketchikan for 32 years, and worked as an auto mechanic.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Mr. Sparks played pool and was a member of the Ketchikan Pool League.

“He loved racing cars or anything motorized,” his family writes.

Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by his mother, Jan Sparks; and father, Sam Sparks.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Sparks; brother, Dean Sparks; stepson, Thomas (Michelle) Streeper III and their children, Herbert, Ariona, Rileigh and Peighton; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Due to the uptick in COVID cases, a memorial celabration is not scheduled.

“Celebrate his life every time he crosses your mind with a smile,” his family writes.
