Darcel Lynn Makua, 36, died on Sept. 15, 2020, in Metlakatla.
She was born Darcel Lynn Edwards on Dec. 22, 1983, in Ketchikan.
She graduated Metlakatla High School in 2002.
She was married in Metlakatla.
Mrs. Makua was a lifelong resident of Metlakatla.
She worked for the Alaska Marine Highway System, and also was a stay-at-home mother.
She was a member of the Metlakatla Lakeside Church of God.
Mrs. Makua was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Williams; sister, Jamie Edwards; and grandparents; Janet Hanson, Fred Walker Sr., V. Dale Williams, and Mose and Mary Edwards.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Kainoa Makua III; sons, Kaiulani Tekoa Makua and Troy Kainoa Makua; father, Timothy Williams Sr.; brothers, Jonathon Edwards and Timothy Williams Jr.; and sister, Alana Mae Williams.
A service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020, at the Lakeside Church of God in Metlakatla, officiated by the Rev. Mike Lake.
Mrs. Makua's remains will be interred at the Oceanview Cemetary in Metlakatla.
