Daral Kevin Smith, 55, died on March 4, 2020, at his home in Ketchikan.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1964, in Illwaco, Washington.
He attended Illwaco Elementary School and Naselle Grays River Valley School. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1983.
Mr. Smith resided in Long Beach, Washington; Naselle, Washington; Rochester, Washington; Vancouver, Washington; and Longview, Washington.
He lived in Ketchikan for 18 years.
Mr. Smith worked as a fisherman and a mechanic.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, making jewelry, treasure hunting, cooking, and time with his niece and nephews.
His family writes that he was a “master wheeler-dealer.”
Mr. Smith wass preceded in death by his father, Ronald W. Smith in 1985; mother, Bonnie Lynn Smith (Myers) in 2003; grandmother, Margurite Smith in 1987; and cousin, Larry Gray in 2015.
He is survived by his sister, Jolene Smith; cousin, Terry (Kathy) Gray; niece, Jessica Seibel; great-niece Aurora Close, all of Ketchikan; uncle and aunt, Doug and Nadine Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews.
