Connie Lee (McKay) Williams died Oct. 26, 2022, in Tahuya, Washington, following long-term health complications.
She was born to Eugene and Leah McKay on Aug. 29, 1959, in Ketchikan.
She graduated from Ketchikan High School in 1977, and spent most of her time in Ketchikan raising her two daughters.
“She was a dedicated mother in their lives, always in attendance for all their various activities and took an active role with the Ketchikan Killer Whales swim club,” her family writes.
She work for Ketchikan Visitors Bureau, Petro Alaska, Ketchikan Gateway Borough Parks and Recreation and Seley Corporation before retiring and relocating to Tahuya in 2004. She also served several years on the board of Maggie Lake Corp.
Connie Williams was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Fred McKay; and her husband, Gregory E. Williams.
She is survived by her daughters, Angie Collins-Branco and Jennilyn Allison; step-children, Kristofer (Lesley) Williams and Lacey Williams; grandchildren, Wesley, Ashley and Benjamin Branco, and Brooklyn and Violet Williams; cousins, Richard Elliott and Nancy Montgomery; and many extended family members.
Her remains have been cremated, and her ashes will spread with those of her husband at Bugge Beach, followed by a celebration of life, on July 1, 2023.
