Cindy Lee Murphy, 70, died July 5, 2020, peacefully In Ketchikan with loved ones by her side.
She was born on Jan. 1, 1950, in Greenwood, Washington, and graduated from Ketchikan High School in 1968.
She resided in Tenino, Washington.
She enjoyed writing, poetry, drawing, sewing, stain glass art, gardening, cooking, music, reading, and the Seattle Seahawks.
“Cindy had an amazing gift and love for animals; rarely would you see Cindy without a dog by her side,” her family writes. “Cindy was always helping others even if she didn’t have anything other than her company to offer. Cindy had a great sense of humor, she was all about making people smile and laugh. She had the best come backs.”
Cindy Lee Murphy is survived by her daughters, Phaedra (Kleinschmidt) Painter and Marie (Dusti) Menges; son, Isaiah Schwebke; brothers, Daniel Murphy and Donny Proctor; sister, Cheri Rooney; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of life will be held. Her remains will be cremated, and her ashes spread according to her wishes.
