KETCHIKAN (KDN) — Sayers McAlpin won the sixth week of the Ketchikan Daily News football contest, correctly predicting the outcomes of 17 out of a possible 21 NFL and college football games this past weekend. McAlpin will receive the weekly prize of a three-month subscription to the Daily News.

Along with the other top finishers of the week, McAlpin also will be eligible to compete for the grand prize — two tickets to the Seattle Seahawks’ game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Dec. 5 in Seattle.

In addition to the two tickets, the grand prize winner will receive round-trip air transportation between Ketchikan and Seattle via Alaska Airlines, three nights of hotel accommodations at the Seattle Homewood Suites and spending money, courtesy of NAPA Auto Parts.

Rounding out the top 10 for Week 6 were James Bellarosa (17), Jordan Sader (17), Jake Popely (16), B.L. Sader (16), Brett Pearce (16), Cris Zamora (16), Liz Jones (16), Thomas Widmyer (16) and Cindy Kloxin (16).

The Daily News football contest covers games played for 10 weeks, concluding on Nov. 14-15. Games for Nov. 20-21 will be mailed to the weekly qualifiers to determine the grand prize winner.
