KETCHIKAN (KDN) — Alex McKay won the fourth week of the Ketchikan Daily News football contest, after correctly predicting 15 out of a possible 20 NFL and college football games this past weekend.

McKay will receive the weekly prize of a three-month subscription to the Daily News.

Along with the other top finishers of the week, McKay will be eligible to compete for the grand prize of $1,000, or $500 if half or less of the season is played due to the novel coronavirus. Typically a 21-game weekly contest, the coronavirus forced one NFL game from Week 4’s list to be postponed.

Rounding out the top 10 were Carol Hayward (14), Laura Lowell (14), Issak Jensen (14), Virginia Starr (14), B. Dickison (14), Marty West (14), Dick Asplund (14), Barb Pearce (13) and Steve Shay (13).

The Daily News football contest, which is co-sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts and Alaska Airlines, covers games played for 10 weeks, concluding on Nov. 14-15. Games for Nov. 21-22 will be mailed to the weekly qualifiers to determine a grand prize winner.
