KETCHIKAN (KDN) — The Ketchikan High School wrestling team is hosting the Bill Weiss Wrestling Tournament this weekend.

Wrestling squads from Craig, Hollis, Haines, Mt. Edgecumbe, Petersburg, Sitka, and Thunder Mountain high schools are scheduled to be in town.

Matches will get underway beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The round-robin set-up will allow for three different matches on three separate mats to be going on at the same time inside Clarke Cochrane Gymnasium.

The same can be said for Saturday’s action, as there will be a full slate of matches on three separate mats. Wrestling will start at 10:30 a.m.

Following the round-robin, there will be a brief break, before the championship round.

Championship matches are scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., beginning with introductions.

Fans can follow the Bill Weiss Wrestling Tournament on TrackWrestling.com. Matches also are expected to be livestreamed on kgbsd.org/live.
