In these days we’re living in, it’s easy to get distracted. So many things going on, things to do, things to see and things we want to accomplish. With all of that and more, our lives can get a bit tangled up.
Frustration enters the picture. We get a upset over the most trivial things. We need to stay focused. Philippians 4:14-20 has a few simple guidelines that will help us do just that.
Rejoice or be happy. We have a lot to be thankful for. rReally, we live in a beautiful place, which people pay a lot to come visit, and we’ve had a pretty good summer this year. With a fair amount of sunshine, the list goes on if we all think about it.
So saying that if you’re a dad be the best one you can be and spend time with your children. If they’ve grown up and are moved away, call them let them know you love them. Husbands, love your wives. Wives be the wife that he fell in love with and couldn’t live without.
Children obey and respect your parents, grandparents and, for some, foster parents.
We are all important and have value that no amount of money could ever replace. That’s right, all of us. You have value.
God loves each and every one of us. So much so that he sent Jesus to rescue us from ourselves. So we need to do the same for each other. Love each other — even the hard ones. That was you and I once upon a time, you know? Stay focused, be blessed and enjoy the rest of the summer.
Love you Ketchikan.
If any of you are struggling in any of these areas. Please ask for help. We all need it from time to time.
