“Rejoice in the Lord always! And again I say, Rejoice!“ (Philippians 4:4)

You might ask me why? Don’t you read the headlines? The world is a mess!

Well, according to Scripture, it will be a bit messy till Jesus returns! Rejoice because, while we wait, we can be happy and full of peace even in the midst of a storm!

We have much to be thankful for, really, A few ships have come in, which helps the local businesses. More fishing vessels are here than last year, by the way. It does make you glad — or should — to see quite a few people young and old fishing off the bridge downtown, and children jumping into Thomas Basin.

Read down to Philippians verses 6, 7 and 8 and receive the comfort that comes from thinking on things that are encouraging rather than the things that bring discouragement, anger and sadness, Rejoice instead!

The Lord still loves you, forgives you, blesses you with peace in the middle of the storms of life, and would have you do the same for others! Rejoice!

God bless you Ketchikan!
