Lady Kings set to host Klawock, Metlakatla

KETCHIKAN (KDN) — Fresh off of its first win of the season, the Ketchikan High School Lady Kings volleyball squad will host a trio of home games this week, beginning on Thursday.

Ketchikan and Klawock High School will lock up in a best-of-three match at 5:45 p.m. at Clarke Cochrane Gymnasium on Thursday.

The game will be the Lady Kings’ first set of competition since defeating the Craig High School Lady Panthers 3-2 this past weekend. Klawock and Metlakatla High School will start the action at Clarke Cochrane Gymnasium on Thursday, going head-to-head at 4:30 p.m.

That matchup will be an ASAA 2A showdown.

On Friday, Ketchikan’s JV squad will enter the Clarke Cochrane Gymnasium at 5 p.m. to square off against Metlakatla’s JV team.

And the two school’s varsity squads will take the court at 7 p.m.

The Lady Kings and Miss Chiefs will lock up once more on Saturday, with the JV teams beginning at 11 a.m.

The varsity squads will play at 1 p.m.

Friday and Saturday’s matchups will be in a best-of-five format.
