KETCHIKAN (KDN) — Ketchikan Post 3 will begin a four-game series against Chugiak Post 33 at Walker Field on Thursday.

First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m., with a doubleheader slated for Friday and an afternoon game on Saturday.

Chugiak enters the First City as the top team in the National Division, with an overall 5-1 record. Chugiak is 4-1 in league competition.

Post 33 won its last game on June 10 — a 9-1 victory over the sub .500 East Anchorage Post 34 squad.

Ketchikan enters the homestand at 3-1, overall, and currently sits in the middle of the pack of the American Division after claiming three of its four games against West Anchorage Post 1 this past weekend. West Anchorage and Ketchikan split their league games with one win apiece.

Thursday night’s game, as well as both games of Friday’s doubleheader, will be considered league games. Saturday’s matinee will be considered non-league.

Post 3 plays all of its home games this season in June. All of its games in July will be played in Anchorage.
