Kathlyn Jeanette Linne, 92, died April 3, 2019, in Ketchikan, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born Kathlyn Iverson on Oct. 17, 1926, in Seattle.

In addition to Seattle and California, she resided in Ketchikan for most of her life. She attended White Cliff and Main School in Ketchikan.

Mrs. Linne was employed as a store clerk, and by Alaska Airlines.

She was confirmed in and attended the Lutheran Church.

She was a member of the Elks, Moose, Emblem Club, Sons of Norway and Pioneers of Alaska. She was a Brownie troop leader, a softball coach for the Golden Nuggets, and a bowling league participant.

Mrs. Linne enjoyed traveling, gardening, dancing, bowling and baking.

“Kathlyn loved to travel, and saw many countries with her family and friends,” her family writes. “Music and dancing filled her heart. We will miss her cooking and laugh; the biscotti and Christmas cookies always. She will be missed but will be with us always in our memories.”

Mrs. Linne was preceded in death by her son, Steve Linne; father, Casper Iverson; mother, Olga Strom; and brother, Clifford Iverson.

She is survived by her daughter, Terrie Linne Wells; daughter, Susan Linne Hoyt; grandson, Jesse (Jacquelyn) Hoyt; great-grandchildren, Oakley, Gracey, Criswell, Gavin and Ellie Hoyt; grandson, Scotty Hoyt; grandson, Christopher Hoyt; great-grandchildren, Michael, Chandra, Trinity, Aidan and Ariella Hoyt; granddaughter, Jennifer (Chris) Smith, great-grandchildren, Bryce, Blake, Cody and Jace Smith; grandson, Daniel Hoyt; daughter, Nikki Linne; granddaughter, Jodi (Trevor) Sayer; great-grandchildren, Dominique, Sonny, Jack and Charlee Sayer; granddaughter, Brittnee (Torsten) Erickson; great-grandchildren, Iryn Erickson and Seth Arland; granddaughter, Kristin Linne; great-grandchildren, Maili Krout and Mason Shcheglyuk; granddaughter, Stevi Silva; great-grandson, Talen Perry; grandsons, Nikkoles Silva and Noah Silva; daughter, Tami Linne Fontaine; grandson, Chance (Lexi) Fontaine; great-grandson, Aiden Fontaine; grandson, Nahaylam Ellis; granddaughter, Shai Shay; son, Kris (Loreal) Linne; grandchildren, Farren, Brayden, Degan, Titan and Brynn Linne; sister, Anita (Bob Smith) Statter; and brother, Albert Strom.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019, in the Great Room of the Ketchikan Pioneer Home, officiated by the Rev. Keith Anderson.

Mrs. Linne’s remains will be cremated, and interred at Bayview Cemetery.
