Carolyn Irene Pillette

Carolyn Irene Pillette, 55, died Dec. 12, 2018, in Ketchikan.

She was born on Oct. 23, 1963 in Spokane, Washington. She graduated in 1982 from Camas High School in Camas, Washington, and attended Clark Community College.

In addition to Spokane and Camas, she resided in New Jersey and New York before moving to Ketchikan in 2006.

She worked in the medical field, as a pull-tab (gaming) dealer, and with Community Connections.

She was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas.

She enjoyed reading fiction novels; potluck cooking, especially during NFL season; visiting and spending time with friends and family; and being pen pals with friends from other places.

Carolyn Pillette was preceded in death by her mother, Dorthy Pillette; father, James Pillette; and nephew, Rob Stewart.

She is survived by her significant other and best friend, Colleen Coggins; brothers, Jim Pillette, Gary Pillette and Mark Pillette of Camas; sisters-in-law, Sue Pillette, Darcy Pillette and Nancy Pillette; nieces, Jamie Trent, Jamie Behrens, Christina Berlin and Michelle Pillette; nephew, Josh Behrens; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

A potlatch service was Dec. 22, 2018, with another to follow in Camas.

Her remains will be interred in Camas.
