6-8th Grade — Boys

KETCHIKAN (KDN) — Both South Tongass Volunteer Fire Department and First City Electric had a double-digit scorer, but ultimately it was STVFD that came out on top with a 44-34 victory at Schoenbar Middle School.

And the 10-point difference was exactly how many points STVFD’s Colton Shull scored. The 10 tallies led his team. Leonaj Thomas almost joined Shull in double figures, finishing the game with nine points.

STVFD’s Bubba Williams knocked in seven points, and both Maddox Davis and Steven Dilts scored six points. Jonathan Scoblic and Luke Rauwolf each tacked on two points.

On First City’s side, Pehja Hudson led the squad with 13 points. And Yeil Guthrie had six points. Gage Reese and Quinn Hudson had five points apiece.

Plato Ruppert posted three points for First City, and Marcus Stockhausen tallied two points.

STVFD 53, Island Air 37

6-8th Grade — Boys

KETCHIKAN (KDN) — A pair of double-digit scorers led the South Tongass Volunteer Fire Department to a 53-37 win over Island Air at Schoenbar Middle School. STVFD’s Colton Shull led his team with 15 points, and tacked on four assists. Bubba Williams also scored 11 points and had six assists.

The duo accounted for nearly half of STVFD’s tallies. Leonaj Thomas nearly joined them in double figures with eight points for STVFD.

Everyone on STVFD’s roster scored in the win. Jonathan Scoblic had five points, and Jhun Baclaan and Maddox Davis both scored four points.

Luke Rauwolf, Alex Shull and Tala Isaia each scored two points.

Island Air’s Brayden Gentry led his team with eight points, nailing jump shot after jump shot, and had several assists in the contest. Chase Hanis was next in line with seven points.

In addition to the duo, Island Air had a trio of five-point scorers. Rickey Corbert, Juan Coronel and Maddix Blair-Isaacs all hit the mark.

Hayden Trudeau had four points, and Matthew Blair-Isaacs knocked in three.
