KETCHIKAN (KDN) — The Blueberry Fun Run kick started the Saturday events of the 43rd Annual Blueberry Arts Festival. More than 100 people took part in the Fun Run’s one-mile event, 5K or 10K run.

The event, which is sponsored by the Ketchikan Running and Walking Club, has been a festival mainstay for more than two decades. It is the Running and Walking Club’s largest participation event of the year.

The routes for all three races were similar, beginning and finishing at the intersection of Grant and Main streets. Runners wound their way throughout downtown Ketchikan.

This is was the first year participants were able to receive Blueberry Fun Run T-shirts.
