Sylva May (Pratt) Umphrey, 91, died May 14, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana.
Norman Melvin “Nick” Farstad, 86, died June 22, 2017, in Shoreline, Washington. He was born July 30, 1930 in Ketchikan.
Timothy John Moran

Timothy John Moran, 54, died Dec. 25, 2012, in Bellevue, Wash.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1958, in Ketchikan, the sixth of 12 children of Mary and William Moran.

Mr. Moran graduated from Ketchikan High School, then earned his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University.

He worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. for 15 years, then spent two years teaching English as a second language in Utena, Lithuania. He next earned his MBA degree from Trinity College Dublin.

Mr. Moran worked at GE Capital in Seattle for seven years, and most recently worked for Banner Bank until he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2011.

Mr. Moran was preceded in death by his father, William Moran.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Mary Alice; mother, Mary Frances; brothers, Joseph, William, Michael, Bernard, Matthew and Patrick; sisters, Mary, Margaret, Agnes, Helen and Bridget; and 38 nephews and nieces.

A viewing is planned for 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, with a rosary following, at the Flintoft’s Issaquah (Wash.) Funeral Home. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at the St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue.

Mr. Moran’s remains will be interred at noon, Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Renton.
