Sylva May (Pratt) Umphrey, 91, died May 14, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana.
Norman Melvin “Nick” Farstad, 86, died June 22, 2017, in Shoreline, Washington. He was born July 30, 1930 in Ketchikan.
Jamie Lee Scudero

Jaime Lee Scudero, 37, died on Nov. 15, 2013 in Ketchikan.

She was born on July 19, 1976 in Mt. Edgecome-Sitka to Jimmie and Toni Scudero.

She attended Metlakatla Elementary School, Ballard High School in Seattle, and graduated from Metlakatla High School. She earned her associate degree from the University of Alaska Southeast.

Ms. Scudero lived in Metlakatla, Reno, Nev., and Seattle. She worked in education and job-skills training.

She enjoyed fishing, picking berries and playing basketball.

Ms. Scudero was preceded in death by her grandmother, Bonnie Scudero; grandfathers, Clif Durgan and John Scudero; cousin, Clifford Durgan; and aunt, Dorothy.

She is survived by her mom and dad, Jimmie and Toni Scudero; children, Kelli, Trent, Jimmie and Jersey; and siblings, Troy, James, Mary and Sola.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., on Nov. 22 at William Duncan Memorial Church in Metlakatla, officiated by the Rev. Paul Bryant.
