Hattie Lea Baumgartner, 47, died June 22, 2017, in Ketchikan. She was born Dec. 25, 1969, in Fairbanks.
Ralph Lloyd Grooms

Ralph Lloyd Grooms, 91, died April 13, 2017, in Ketchikan.

He was born Dec. 27, 1925, in La Junta, Colorado. He served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Grooms was a woodworker, and enjoyed woodworking and crafts.

He was a member of the Baptist church. He had resided in Ketchikan for 15 months.

Mr. Grooms was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Grooms; daughter, Pam Grooms; and grandsons, Patrick Scot Whiteside and Isaac Clancy.

He is survived by his sons, Lloyd Grooms of Portland, Oregon, and Chris (Dorothy) Grooms of Ketchikan; daughter, Lori (Randy) Whiteside of West Lynn, Oregon; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at First Baptist Church, officiated by Chris Grooms and Doug Edwards.

Mr. Grooms remains will be interred in Oregon.
