VA town hall set for Tuesday

KETCHIKAN (KDN) — The Alaska Veterans Administration Healthcare Administration has scheduled a town hall listening session for veterans and the public on Tuesday evening in Ketchikan.

“The Alaska VA is hoping to see all veterans, family members and community members that would like to provide direct feedback and share any of their experiences as we continue to improve the care offered to the greatest veterans in the world,” according to an event announcement.

Dr. Timothy D. Ballard, director of the Alaska VA Healthcare System, is scheduled to attend the event that’s set for 5:50 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Joseph T. Craig American Legion Post 3 at 631 Park Ave.

“The VA welcomes frank and open discussion of veterans' concerns in all VA program areas,” according to event information included on the Alaska VA website. “VA representatives will be on hand to assist veterans personally after the town hall with questions or issues related to their individual claims.”
