The Inter-Island Ferry Authority is extending its runs between Ketchikan and Metlakatla while the Alaska Marine Highway System ship Lituya is dry-docked.
The IFA is running on a Thursday-through-Monday schedule from Jan. 11 to Feb. 19, and is docking at Annette Bay.
On those days the IFA is departing from Ketchikan at 11:30 a.m. and departing Metlakatla at 1:00 p.m. with a total running time of 45 minutes.
According to an IFA press release, passengers who plan on taking this route should book in advance.
“The short run time means onboard ticketing time is limited,” the release reads. “Please book your reservations in advance!”
