Kayhi pride

EDITOR, Daily News:

My wife and I attended the Kayhi basketball games on Friday and Saturday, and I just want to comment and congratulate the outstanding young people we have in this community. The players, cheerleaders, dance team, pep band and students made us proud to be there and witness such enthusiastic school spirit and so many great kids having fun doing good things.

I also want to comment on the fact that 100 percent of our players and coaches stood with their hand over their heart during the playing of The National Anthem. Conversely, the opposing team did not have a single player place their hand over their heart as is our national custom and tradition. Two of their coaches did so but the boys had obviously not been coached to show this small bit of patriotism. I appreciate our Kayhi coaching staff for teaching our players important life lessons on and off the court.

Go Kayhi!
