Balanced news

EDITOR, Daily News:

I am a lifelong Alaskan who has had the opportunity to reside in the communities of Anchorage, Palmer, Fairbanks, Homer, Hollis, Seward and Ketchikan.

None of these places has a locally owned daily newspaper that shows the same regard and dedication for balanced news as the Ketchikan Daily News. In fact, most of these communities’ newspapers are owned by out-of-state chains. Your commitment to informing all citizens about local news pertaining to sports, education, arts, business, fishing, government and crime is tremendous.

I also appreciate the timely, relevant national and world news you bring to our community and the sensitivity with which you have chosen stories. This year has certainly been a doozy.

Please keep up the good work. Our family remains thankful subscribers of the Ketchikan Daily News.
