Tammy Lea Fain

Tammy Lea Fain, 57, died June 9, 2017, in Ketchikan.

She was born Tammy Lea Fotta on Oct. 11, 1959, in Springfield, Oregon. She moved to Alaska, where she graduated from Haines High School in 1977.

She was married on May 27, 1981, in Haines. In addition to Haines, Long Island and Homer, Mrs. Fain resided in Ketchikan for 27 years.

She was employed as a store clerk, bank teller and home care giver.

Mrs. Fain enjoyed putting puzzles together and reading.

“She loved decorating and had enough holiday spirit for everyone,” her family writes. “Tammy enjoyed and loved being a mother to her two sons. She loved life and sharing life with her husband, John.”

Mrs. Fain was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and O’Deena Fotta; and brothers, Tommy and Tony Fotta.

She is survived by her husband, John Fain; sons, Tony and John Justin Fain; sisters, Teri Valentine, Timi Katzeek and Teena Cameron; and brothers, Tracy Fotta and Troy Fotta.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.

Mrs. Fain’s remains will be cremated.
